+(Intro) We will hear again this morning from the letter of St Paul to the Galatians, that “for freedom Christ set us free.” As we know, we don’t always make the best use of our freedom to honor God or show love to our neighbor so let us be aware of our sins, confident in God’s grace.
(After the gospel) In our gospel, my brothers and sisters, Jesus speaks of how there is one greater than the prophet Jonah, greater than the queen of the south in our midst. He is inviting us to recognize him not only in the Eucharist but in the lives of each of our brothers and sisters with whom we live each day. God’s love is not intrusive or assertive but ever beckoning us to share in a divine presence so that it may be manifest to all around us. May God give us the grace to allow this presence to pervade the whole of our lives.
