Today we have the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. In the gospel we hear of Mary being troubled at what was said and pondering what sort of greeting she had received. We live is a troubled time and need more than ever to hear the angel tell us not to be afraid for God is with us. Let us try more than ever to be quiet enough interiorly that we may be aware of God’s presence amid all the turmoil that is going on so that we too may be witnesses of a divine presence that brings healing.
