Reflection: Fr. Michael Casagram – Curing blindness 12/6/24

+(Intro) In both our readings this morning, we will hear of the cure of blindness. Let us own our own limited vision, the way in which we fail to see God’s will in our lives or to carry it out faithfully.

(After the gospel) The cure of the blind men depended on their faith. It is faith the opens the eyes of our hearts to see the working of God in our own lives. The Eucharist we celebrate daily is a reminder of just how much Christ desires to strengthen in our Christian faith so that we may see what is most pleasing in God’s sight. Advent is a special time of grace, inviting us anew to allow Christ to pervade the whole of our lives, all that we think, do or say so let us be filled with gratitude for this season.
