Reflection: Fr. Michael Casagram – 1/29/26 – “Thy Kingdom Come”

+(Intro) We will hear Jesus saying in our gospel this morning that “there is nothing hidden except to be made visible, nothing is secret except to come to light” so let us pause a moment to recall our sins and failings.

(After the gospel) Jesus telling us that the measure with which we measure will be measured out to us, and still more will be given, is a reflection of his own life and love. He gives to us this in Eucharistic celebration his very own life and love. We are to become what we celebrate,

I often think of those words in the Our Father that he has taught us to pray: “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We see in them his own deepest desire that God’s reign may happen in our world of today even as it takes place in heaven right now. May the Holy Spirit with which his heart is filled, fill our hearts as well!
