Reflection: Fr Michael Casagram 11/6/26 “Kindness”

+(Intro) In our first reading from St Paul this morning, we will hear of the danger of conducting ourselves as enemies of the cross of Christ. Let us take a moment to acknowledge our sins and failings.

(After the gospel) Our gospel is a reminder of how much is to be gained by being kind, thoughtful and forgiving toward our neighbor whomever he or she may be. So often in the media we are being told about the weaknesses, failings and limitations of others so that we lose sight of what is really to be commended or honored in their lives.

There is a way in which we are all in one way or other, found to be unworthy stewards of the many blessings bestowed on us. It is so easy for any of us to take for granted, the many gift, gtraces and favors that come our way each day.

Not least of these is the very Eucharist we are celebrating, the gifts of Christ’s very own Body and Blood making of us sharers in His own divine life. Let us then overlook any weaknesses or failings of others, realizing that in doing so we become good stewards of God’s merciful love. Amen
