+(Intro) Our lives are productive to the extent that we are branches clinging to the vine as our gospel will remind us. Let us take a moment to reflect on what may detach us from the life-giving vine of Christ.
(After the gospel) I’ve come to see that one of the truest, most valuable lines of sacred Scripture is what we have just heard, Jesus telling us that without him we can do nothing.
Each and all of us are being asked to reflect the work of God in our lives which is above all that of being loving in all that we think, do and say. We can only do this if the life of Christ flows through our veins all day long.
The Eucharist we receive at this Altar continually renews this divine life within us so that we may live together as members of Christ’s body, loving one another even as he has loved us. May this Divine nourishment strengthen us throughout our lives.
