+(Intro) On this ferial day we will hear again from the book of Job. He is reminded by the Lord of the great limitations of his knowledge. Let us own our limits and ask God’s forgiveness for our sins and failings.
(After the gospel) Jesus reproaches the unrepentant towns of Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaum for being unrepentant after all the mighty works he had performed in their midst. It is a call to us all to be aware of the many graces that have been worked in each of our lives and to be open to whatever God may still want to accomplish among us.
Each of us gathered here has been wonderfully graced by the gift of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with many spiritual gifts as the recent passage of our Br Gerlac has reminded us. Christ’s working is continually taking place in our lives if we can only see clearly with the eyes of faith.
So let us be ever more aware and grateful for the mighty works of Christ taking place in our community or in our families. And let us be sorry for anything we may do that stands in the way of our radiating divine goodness to all those with whom we live or work.
